Journal Camp Week 4 - my Nursing story

Journal Camp - week 4 - writing about ourselves. Well, I didn't follow directions. I hope Nani will forgive me. We were suppose to only include one picture (maybe 2, I forgot) and the rest was suppose to be journaling about ourselves. I had so much to say and I really wanted to include all the pictures as they all relate to the story. Please Nani - I didn't want to do one layout for you and then just turn around and have to resturcture it for all the other pictures for my kids scrapbooks :)
I often tell people this story when they ask about going back to school for your graduate degree, so it was fairly easy to (and Fun!) to get it written out. Growing Pains Scrapped at STS just came out with this super cute kit that fit my layout perfectly. It's called Ahhh's!, Ouchies & Booboo's

Thanks for reading and Happy Scrapping.

Got Dirt?

The picture on the left is one of my favorite pictures of Mitchell - I just love it! These pictures are from April/2006, prior to getting the driveway poured with concrete. Kit is a collab from The Studio called "All the Dirt". Picture on the right was made using a template from Tiggconn.

More Dandelion pictures

Remember picking dandelions for your Mom? I adore when the kids want to pick them for me. This was for the speed scrap over at STS. The original speed scrap instructions had some of the pictures in black and white, which I did for the challenge, but I changed them to color for the layouts I'll put in the kids scrapbook. You can find all the credits and the layout with the black and white photos here.

Bug quilt

A tribute to the kindness of my friend Nichole.

For Mother's day I got a new digital picture frame for my office. My old one stopped working a couple months ago and I have about 300 some pictures on the media file. The last couple days it's been nice to look back at the pictures of the kids growing up. It also gave me a couple ideas of pages that need to be made for their scrapbook albums. I had originally planned on doing this layout with only the picture in the upper left corner, but seeing the other pictures in the rotation made me decide that I needed to add those as well. I think it turned out quite cute. Kit by Lliella and Kristin Aagard called "Buggalicious" and template by Pencil Lines.

Spring in Wisconsin

Here is my week 2 layout for Journal camp going on over at the Chronicles of Nani. This week we had to do some caption journaling. I guess had I searched harder for a series of 3 pictures it may have been easier for me, but I really want to scrap the main picture in the above layout. Normally, I would have just used the best photo and added a tag with the date and the title. Now if you know my kids or any kids in general, they usually don't smile perfectly on the first take. So I thought I'd show a couple of the pictures leading up to the last one which I think turned out perfect. I don't want them looking at their scrapbooks when I'm gone and think they were the perfect angels :) So my layout shows a little of the story behind the beautiful picture.

Journal Camp Week 1

Here is my first week of Journal Camp sponsered by Chronicles of Nani. I chose to do a list style of Sophia's haircut from this morning. I just love the way her hair curls up. I also used this layout for the template challenge over at SBE. You can find the credits here.
